HAVE A TRAINING STRATEGY
I want a well balanced and well schooled partner!

Having a commitment to your
horse and a practical strategy is
the difference between failing or succeeding in the show arena.
You can't just ride once a week!
I start and train all of my own horses. I start them as a two year old and teach them to carry a snaffle bit and saddle in long-lines.

When they are old enough and physically ready the first ride occurs. Usually the first ride is not a big deal. Sometimes they can be very unsure and afraid, however I find that all of the long-lining and ground work has prepared them for working under saddle.

It takes dedication and hard work to train a horse. You have to be incredibly consistent and it is paramount to work on suppleness and transitions. With out suppleness a horse can not learn self carriage, which is vital to their performance quality.

Under saddle I work on gaits, transitions, carriage, frame, collection, rhythm, tempo,
suppleness, response to light
leg and hand aids and manners.
Horse Showing
I have been showing horses for 21 years and have several techniques and practices for maintaining excellent equine fitness and show bloom.
