Horse Training
"Dansin in the Dark" Design Studio@
At Paladin, we are foundation focused and can retrain or start that solid training foundation. We evaluate your horse's confirmation, natural ability and their attitude to determine which disciplines they can excel at. We start by teaching the horse self carriage and go from there.
When training we work on a horses gaits, carriage, frame, collection, rhythm, tempo, suppleness, response to commands, manners and attitude and strive for every horse to have a great general way of going. We like our finished horses to be extremely responsive and tuned in to their rider. We strive for them to be the ultimate pleasure to ride.
We emphasize that having your horse professionally trained and evaluated is an experience best had. Doing so increases the value of your horse and insures that the horse and rider are safe and in good harmony with each other. Having a trained horse and rider is the biggest necessity to being competitive if you are showing your horse, but even the casual trail rider benefits from a responsive horse.
Good conditioning, care and nutrition are also pertinent to your horses well being and capabilities, especially Show Horses, who are really equine athletes. For sound horse development, a special nutritional program can be formulated for each horse in training based on the newest National Research Council Sixth Revised Edition 2007 report, Nutrient Requirements of Horse.
